Miss Sheilah Brown left by to-day’s express for Oamaru. Mrs L. M. Austin, Rugby Street, has left by the Rangitane on a coastal trip. Miss M. C. Fryer. Knowles Street, returned yesterday from a short visit to Hastings. Mrs R. Richards and Miss Helen Richards, Temuka, are the guests of Mrs Maxwell, Diamond Harbour. Mrs Walter Macfarlane, Kawara, will return home to-morrow .after spending a few days in Christchurch. Mr R. H. Parton, Merivale Dane, who has been visiting Auckland, will return to Christchurch to-morrow. Mrs D. W. Buchanan, Wills Street, Ashburton, who has been on an extended trip to England, has returned home. Miss Odie Kerr, Chapter Street, will leave this week to stay at Hanmer Springs. Miss Dorothy Parr, Perth. Western Australia, is staying with Mrs Stephen Parr, College House. Mrs W. H. Rose has returned to her home in Wellington from a visit to Christchurch. Mrs Alister Deans. Riccarton, will . leave Christchurch shortly to live in j her country home, “ Morven, Darfield. Mrs Charles Nathan, who has been visiting Christchurch, has returned to Wellington. Mrs P. Clennell Fenwick, Gloucester Street West, will leave early in January for a trip to Great Britain. Mrs E. Hartley, Knowles Street, who has been visiting her- sister, Mrs Oldham, Dunedin, has returned horns. Mrs Kenneth Murchison, Lake Coleridge, arrived in Christchurch yesterday and is staying with her aunt, Mrs Deans, “ Riccarton House.” Mrs 11. Rowden, Mowbray Street, Wellington, who has been the guest of Mrs Hugh Ensor, Rakahuri. North Canterbury, has returned home. Mrs Watson. England, who has been staving with Miss Catley, Lower Hutt, arrived in Christchurch yesterday morning. Mrs G. Way, Fendalton, is spending the summer in Hawke’s Bay, where she is visiting Mrs Henry de Denne, Hastings. Miss Mina Ward, Manchester Street North, will leave for Dunedin next week on a visit to her sister, Mrs Joseph Holm. Madame Gower Burns and Mrs Milner Harris, Chester Street, who have been staying in Timaru, have returned home. Miss Dinah Monro, Bankhouse, Blenheim, who has been visiting Mount Cook and Christchurch, has returned home. Mrs Arthur Elworthy, Holme Station, who has been staying with her daughter, Mrs Derrick Gould, Fendalton, has returned home. Mrs C. L. Ilardie, St Albans, will leave early next year for Ashb\irton, where she and her husband intend making their home. Mrs W. R. James, Spring Meadow, Aparima, Otautau, and her daughter are visiting Mrs A. Turton. Riccarton. for the Rhind-Turton wedding. Mrs Sydney Warburton, Bradford, England, will arrive in Christchurch tomorrow from Picton, and will join her husband at Warner’s Hotel. Mrs M. J. Godby, who recently arrived in New Zealand from London, will return to Christchurch from Timaru to-day, and will stay at the Clarendon Hotel. Mrs Leslie Wilson, Dunedin, who has been spending a few days in Christchurch, will go to-morrow to be the guest of Mrs Charles Beadel, Merivale Lane, for the week-end. Mrs A. M’lnnes and Miss Barbara M’lnnes, Wai-iti Road, Timaru, will be the guests of Mrs A. Turton, Rata Street, Riccarton, for the Rhind-Turton wedding. Mrs David Stavert, Ilanmer Springs, who has been spending a few days in Christchurch, as the guest of Mrs F. W. W. Dawson, Riccarton. will return home at the week-end. Mrs Percy Cox, Christchurch, will arrive at Auckland by the Tainui on Monday, and will go on to Wellington on Tuesday to stay with Mrs Gordon Stewart, Muritai, before leaving for Christchurch. Nurse Maude gratefully acknowledges clothing from “ R.M.E..” donation, “ A Sympathizer,” and fish sent from Akaroa, caught by Mr and Mrs L. T. Lewis, Mr and Mrs Arthur Rose, and Miss Freda Rose, Mrs Cumberland and Mr A. Brown. Miss Marjorie Bulkely. England, who has been visiting her aunt and uncle. Colonel and Mrs F. W. W. Dawson, Riccarton, left last evening for Auckland. where she will spend three or four months before sailing for Australia and England.
