Business livened up perceptibly yesterday afternoon and at the last call an unusually big list of sales was recorded. A fresh lot was added at the first call this morning and altogether the turnover over the last 24 hours must have been heavy. Business covered a wide area, with Government stocks getting a fair share of the business. South British Insurance touched a new high level this morning, with a sale at £3 17s 3d. but a subsequent transaction was threepence lower.
