Gibbs, chairman of the Postal Committee, at last evening’s meeting of the Council of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, on having extended from 3.45 to 4.45 p.m. the time of closing the night mail to the West Coast. He said that the extension of time, which had not been easy to arrange, would be of very material benefit to firms having business with the West Coast.
