DARING ESCAPE.
Rum-runners Turn Upon Captors. COASTGUARDSMEX PRISONERS. United Pres, Aesn.—By Blectrlo Telegraph—Copyright. , (Received December 8,2 p.m.) GLACE BAY, December 7. Four Canadian coastguardsmen were captured to-day by the crew of the suspected rum-running craft Kromhouts, who turned on the guardsmen as the vessel was being towed into port. The coastguard cutter Stumble Inn had seized the ship, and the captain assigned four seamen to take it into North Sydney, Nova Scotia. Striking quickly, the Kromhouts crew overpowered their guards and cut loose their ship, which was out of range of the coastguards’ guns. Government vessels began an immediate search.
