Fish is in fair supply on the local markets, but whitebait is very scarce. The season will end in a week or so. The price has advanced to 3s 4d per lb. Eggs are not as plentiful as former!}', and it is stated that the laying season will probably finish earlier than usual. Prices have advanced by Id a dozen.
