Men Were Asphyxiated by Dynamite Fumes. RESCUER'S SACRIFICE. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 7, 12.30 p.m.) PERTH, December 7. Two miners, Kenneth M’Laren, aged 24, and Albert Cole, 26. were asphyxiated by dynamite fumes in the Phoenix Mines at Norsemen. After the charge was fired Cole descended, and when no signal was received M’Laren volunteered to investigate. He found Cole in a state of collapse, but before he could rescue him was himself overcome. Both were brought to the surface, but died soon after.
