BRIGHTON BOY SCOUTS.

At a meeting of the New Brighton Boy Scout Troop Committee in the Scout House. Mr Macintosh presided. The scoutmaster reported on the arrangements he had made in regard to the proposed camp at Christmas time. It was proposed to hold the camp at Charteris Bay, on the property of Mr Orton Bradley. The committee approved of the arrangements made. It was decided to charge a camp fee of 12s fid a head. A donation of an axe for the camp was made by Mr Hall. The cubmaster, Air F. j. Lawrence Scott, presented the report of the Wolf Cubs, which stated that the cubs had paraded 30 strong at the rally. The scoutmaster reported that he had been instructed by the Metropolitan Commissioner that unless the levy of Is per head from all scouts and cubs was paid immediately no more scouts would be examined for proficiency badges. It was decided to send a protest to the Commissioner against this action and to state that it was quite impossible to collect Is per head from the cubs.
