INQUEST OPENED.
Fatal Accident at Wools ton Works.
An inquest was opened this morning - into the circumstances of the death yesterday of William Broms, a married man, forty-eight years of age, who was killed in an accident at the Davis Gelatine (N.Z.) Works, Woolston. After evidence of identification had been given the inquiry was adjourned sine die.
Mr Broms, who resided at 96. Madras Street, Sydneham, was engaged with a number of other men in hoisting material for a new heating plant. The hoisting tackle gave way suddenly and struck him on the back of the neck. He died within a quarter of an hour.
