My wife has a new dress in her head.” Village shopkeeper (to customer) : “ Well, that’s three hot-water bottles, two dozen lemons, and a large tin of bath mustard. I’ll send them right away. All well at home, sir? ” Angus (to Donald, who has bought a second-hand car): Man it’ll be costing you a bit in petrol. Donald: Not so much. It’s downhill to town, and I can get a tow home most days. Mrs Fagg: “Is your husband improving in hospital, Mrs Tagg?” Mrs Tagg: “Yes; he seems much better since they put the radio treatment on - him. It’s marvellous what they can do with wireless these days.”
