Ideal weather conditions prevailed for an outing organised by Mr B. C. Penney, of the Ricearton School teaching staff, who, with seventeen boys representing Standard VI., left this morning for a cycling trip round the bays. The day’s attractions included sea bathing and sports. The sharp (rost experienced last week did not do any considerable amount of harm in the city reserves according to a report presented to the meeting ol the Citv Council last evening. It was rtateri that although the frost had cut hack some ol the bedding plants which had iust 1 een put out and some of the more tender shrubs it was hoped that everything would recover.
