Acceptances for Summer Meeting. SATURDAY’S FIXTURE. The following acceptances have been received for the New Brighton Trotting Club’s summer meeting, which takes place on Saturday:

ADDINGTON NOTES.

Ayrmont Chimes Pleases in Track Work. The weather conditions were perfect, and the track at Addington provided splendid going this morning. G. Walton was the early bird, sending Stella Derby a mile and a quarter, which she did nicely in 2min 56sec. Happy Land went fast over the initial stages of a mile, being eased up belore reaching the wire in 2min 2 4sec. Shortly alter 9 o’clock it looked as if something unusual was to be witnessed, as Messrs Beere and Larcombe, J. R. M’Kenzie, and other officials, with the official starter, Mr A. J. Hastings, were present. J. Bryce, jun., then came on the track, driving Ayrmont Chimes. It was soon apparent that he was to be the central figure. The barrier was put up. and a miniature race staged to see how Ayrmont Chimes would behave. The field was composed of Holly Bank, War Paint, Major Bind, Bone Derby. Tangatu, Muriel de Oro and Ayrmont Chimes. Holly Bank went away in front from the barrier rise, with War Paint soon in second position, followed by Ayrmont Chimes, Bone Derby, Tanga tu and Muriel de Oro. They raced in that order practically till a furlong from home, when Ayrmont Chimes headed War Paint and beat her by over two lengths, with Holly Bank third. Then came Tangatu and Major Bind. Ayrmont Chimes went the first mile in 2min 14 o-usec, the mile and a quarter in 2min 46sec, and the full distance in :jmin 18sec. He gave a fine performKembrandt, going alone and not close in, covered a mile and a half in 3min 36 4-ssec. Clem Da we went away two lengths in front of Bmincline's Bast, with Young Travis giving the former 1 2-ssec in a work-out over a mile and a half. The first mile occupied 2min 20see, Clem Dawe and Emmeline's Bast being on terms, with Young Travis lour lengths away. He was only a length from his companions at the mile and a quarter disc, but once in line for home he soon gathered them in and reached the line, going 3min 25sec. The others were almost two lengths away, on terms. Going alone, George Rey was sent a mile and a half. The first half-mile was done in lmin 6 2-ssec, the mile in 2m in lSsec. and the full journey in 3 min 19 4-5 sec. Kilbirnie Dan was worked with straps Cloudy Range, keeping out a bit, was sent a mile and a half. He covered the first mile in 2min losec, and completed the full journey in 3min 22sec. Happi, going alone, covered a mile I well. U ° Brentlight went a mile and a half nicely in 3min 25sec. Blandford went fast over the opening stages of a mile and a quarter, but did not finish well, going 2min 56sec Honeymoon conceded Don Chenault Chenault led till near the posY, where lie broke, and Honeymoon finished on terms with him, going 4min 47sec. Fairyland, keeping wide out, covered one and a half miles in 3min SSsec. Bida Wee, alone, went a mile in 2min Isabel Patch, assisted by a galloping pacemaker, went very evenly when covering a mile and a half in 3min 33sec. Renova, going a mile and a half, was picked up by Morello over the last mile and a quarter. Renova led all the way, going 3min 30 4-ssee. deal Wood trotted nicely and went steadily when covering a mile and a half in 3min 4 osec. Garner acted as pacemaker for Germanicus over a two mile journey. The former, leading all the way. went 4min 4 4 2-ssec, Germanicus being two lengths away, but giving lsec start. Royal Drusus, looking improved for his racing at Forbury, conceded Indian Author several lengths in a dash over a mile and a half. With the first mile gone in 2mln 17sec, the former was only a length away, and gradually reducing the gap they were on even terms, going 3min 25sec. Ruth Bogan was given an easy mile, which she did in 2min 24sec. Banffshire Bad, going away alone from the mile and a quarter post, covered the first mils in 2min 16 2-ssec arid the full journey In 2min 48 4-ssec. and a half, run with Todd Bingen, but the latter eased off and M’Dermott chipped in with Tiny Guy, but she was later pulled off, and Norman Fox finished alone, going 3min 34sec. Attorney went away lsec in front of Silva Sydney over a mile and a half. Attorney was always in the lead and Golden Direct "was given several smart sprinting tasks, which he did nicely. Gold Country, looking big and well, was worked over a steady mile. the reverse way, Wrecker led ■ from

Argolis, Black Jester. General Wrack and Indianapolis, the latter giving Wrecker 6sec. With the first mile gone in 2min 22see, Indianapolis was only four lengths away. The mile and a half took 3min 32sec and saw Wrecker just leading General Wrack and Indianapolis. Over the closing stages Indianapolis just beat Wrecker, with Black Jester and General Wrack right up. Indianapolis went 4min 36sec and Wrecker 4min 4 22-3 sec. Bord Beslie and David M’Elwyn were associated in a run over a mile, finishing on terms in 2min 21see. Going the reverse way round. Wilma Dillon led out from Biddy Parrish. Sunny Ducrow, Carl and Chenwood. the latter giving Wilma Dillon 6 2-ssec. They had not gone 100yds before Carl and Sunny Ducrow broke up badly, the latter being pulled up. Carl went on but broke again twice, ar.d Wilma Dillon led Biddy Parrish and Chenwood past the mile and a quarter. Then 1 hey eased off and Chenwood. very wide out. completed the mile and a half in 3 min 31 3-ssec.

Horses and Horsemen Reach Wellington. (Special to the *' Star.”) WELLINGTON, December 5. The Otaki trainer, A. D. Webster, and the Awapuni horseman, A. M'Donald, arrived back from Sydney and Melbourne by the Marama this morning. Webster left his main team behind, his only horses on board being The Mirror and Peter Jackson. The latter has reverted to the ownership of his breeders. Messrs Smith Brothers, for whom Webster will train him in future. Mr W. R. Kemball’s horses, which have been racing in the north during the last two months, will return to Trentham on Thursday. The venture proved a profitable one, as stakes amounting to £645 were won, the main contributions being by Cape Fair £205, Quietly £l9O. and Palm Queen £l7O. AWAPUNI W.F.A. RACE.
