FEES INCREASED.

The ordinary license fees on vessels carrying cargo or passengers for hire within the Lyttelton harbour limits has been increased from £1 to £5.

At a special meeting this morning the Lyttelton Harbour Board passed an amendment to the existing by-laws abolishing the special license fees for vessels and persons trading to outlying jetties within the harbour, and making the increase. It was agreed that the limit of fourteen tons should be fixed for vessels coming under the by-law.
