NAZI CRUELTY.

Refugee’s Story of Brutality in Prisons. TORTURED VICTIMS DIE. j United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 2, 9.50 p.m.) LONDON, December 1. “ The treatment of political prisoners in Germany is becoming worse,” says the ex-editor of a Communist paper, who was arrested on February 28, and who remained in the concentration camp at Sonnenburg until October. He is now a refugee in Britain under the assumed name of Lentz. He visited the House of Commons, accompanied by Lord Marley. He declared that the increase in anti-Hitler propaganda was immediately reflected in the heavier punishments at the concentration camps. He had seen people lying on the ground with the flesh torn off their arms and backs. There were special torture cells at Sonnenburg, where the prisoners spend a number of days after their arrival. Many died after the beatings and their bodies were hung up to suggest suicide. Prisoners arriving from another camp were covered with vermin. They were compelled to stand naked for five hours. One was beaten fatally the same night.
