At the half-yearly meeting of the Perseverance Lodge. U.A.0.D.. A.D. Brother Havord presided. The R.A.C. intimated that the quarterly meeting would be held on December 12. The Queen of the Oak Lodge wrote inviting members to its annual dance on December 9. It was decided to obtain twelve copies of a lodge booklet for distribution. Nominations for officers resulted: J.P.A.. Brother Havord: A.D., held over until next >odge night; V.A., Brother L. A. Watson; secretary. Brother Jones; treasurer, Brother P. W. Stephens; minute secretary, Brother F. Hooker; A.D.8.. Brothers Anstiss and Jenkins; V. Brothers M’Clymont and N. G. Watson; 1.G., Brother Manderson; 0.G., Brother T. Newbury; auditors. Brothers J- Watson and Hooker; Dispensary, Brothers Warburton and Hooker; U.F.S. Council, Brother Warburton; Benevolent Association. Brothers Jenkins and W. Stephens; trustee, Brother J. Thornton; Grand Lodge delegates, Brothers W. Jones, F. Hooker and Warburton. For the position of D.P. for the No. 2 District, Brothers Herriot, P.A., Lawson. P.A., and Belcher, all of the Anchor Lodge. The D.P., Brother W. Stephens (Oak of Sydenham) congratulated the lodge on the success of the anniversary social. The following visitors were welcomed: Brothers P. Smith, P.A. (Pioneer), Fish, P.A. (Light of Manakau), Herriot, P.A., Lawson, P.A., and Belcher (Anchor Lodge).
