CHILD DROWNED IN WELL.
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, November 29. Falling into an old well at Miramar this afternoon, Ronald Paterson, aged four and a half years, son of Mr and Mrs E. A. Paterson, Wexford Road, was drowned. Ronald and his sister Patricia, aged two, were pfaying on a section close to the gasworks. Patricia returned home alone and the subsequent search revealed Ronald’s body floating face downwards in eight feet of water.
