INCREASED REVENUE.
Statement of Railways Accounts. (“ Star ” Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON November 30. An increase of £32,093 in the net revenue for the four-weeklv period ended November 11 was revealed today by the chairman of the Railways Board (Mr H. H. Sterling) The gross revenue for the four-weeklv period showed an increase of £33,941 as compared with the corresponding period of the orevious financial vear, said Mr Sterling. The operating expenditure increased by £IB4B, leaving an increase of net revenue of £32.093. For the portion of the financial vear from April 1 to November 11 the gross revenue showed an increase of £51,912 and the expenditure a decrease of £45,700, leaving an increase in net revenue for the portion of the year up to the date mentioned of £97,612 as compared with the corresponding por tion of the previous financial year.
