Swimming Championships.
The New Zealand swimming championships will be held next February in the new St Albans bath unless some unforeseen circumstance arises. The secretary of the Canterbury Swimming Centre (Mr V. G. Spiller) has received a letter frcm the secretary of the St Albans Public Swimming Bath Fund (Mr J. Falkinder) stating that the committee had unanimously accepted the rental basis required by the centre, and could give an assurance that the bath would be ready for the championship, while other requirements specially mentioned would also be met. The other requirements are to provide for a secretary’s office, seating for at least 1000 persons, dressing accommodation for at least 100 competitors, lighting for the bath, seating and sheds, high and low standard diving boards and a rigid finishing line.
