Sydenham Club Opens Season. The Sydenham Amateur Swimming Club’s season was declared open on Saturday afternoon by Councillor M. E. Lyons, patron of the club. Results of races were:—2syds junior girls—Olga Taylor 1, Avril Norton 2. Time—lßsec. 25yds boys—S. Tanner 1, X. Thomson 2. Time—2l 3-ssec. 25yds senior women— N. Lester 1, E. Agar 2. Time—lßsec. 25yds senior men—R. M’Caw 1, B. Cutting 2. Time —19sec. Women’s dive— O. Taylor. Boys’ and men’s dive—C. Williams. Several novelty races were held among the small children.
