Y.M.C.A. DIRECTORS.

Report on Profits of Queen Carnival. Tiie monthly meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Board of Directors was held last evening. Present: Messrs D. E. Parton <in the chair), K. G. Archer, W. F. Blackwell, A. C. Cottrell, T. Evans, J. K. Fleming. H. W. Heslop. S. L. Partridge. 1. Sladen, A. M. West and the general secretary. A sub-committee consisting of Messrs Parton, Heslop and Archer was appointed to confer with members of the directorate and the Advisory Board of the Y.W.C.A. fn regard to the street day. It was announced that approximately £620 would be cleared as a result of the Queen Carnival, and that owing to a further decrease in general subscriptions this amount would enable the association to carry on until the end of the financial year provided that there was no further decrease in ordinary revenue. Special thanks were accorded all helpers. The general secretary reported that he would start his annual leave on Friday next. Mr C. G. Pegg was appointed acting general secretary. Gymnasium Classes. The physical director reported that the attendance at gymnasium classes had Increased by more than 1000 this year, the progress attendances for the last four years being:—l93o, 21,397; 1931. 23,606; 1932, 23,843; 1932. 25.464. Further championships In connection with gymnasium classes were as follows:—Boys under Allison 1. Allen Barnsdale 2. Primary bovs —Les Rowland 1, R. Young 2. Secondary boys—C. Tobeck 1. Employed bo vs— Keith Williams 1. C. Blackett 2. Girls under fourteen—Miss Betty James 1, Miss Maisie Ross-Smith 2. The Tramping Club this year would visit Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu. Lake Howden. Upper Hollyford Track, Milford Sound and return via M'Kinnon Pass.
