Inclusion on Athletic Programmes.

DECISION OF THE N.Z.A.A.A. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, November 22. The council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association at its annual meeting passed a motion to the effect that the association was prepared to resume negotiations with a certain section of cyclists’ organisations, and under certain provisions to hold athletic meetings at which cyclists may participate. The council is agreeable to discuss the question of holding combined meetings with a properly constituted authority controlling amateur cycling. Clubs will be allowed until December 14 to include cycling events in their programmes, such events to be confined to cyclists who are members under the New Zealand Cycling Council, and have not joined or competed in events held under the jurisdiction of the New Zealand League of Amateur Wheelmen. The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, was appointed patron of the association, Mr R. W. M’Villy president, Mr H. I. Austad chairman, and Mr L. A. Tracy secretary and treasurer.
