TRAGEDY FEARED.

English Trout-fishing Enthusiast Missing. FAILED TO RETURN TO CAMP. Per Press Association. ROTORUA, November 21. Fears are entertained for the safety of Mr A. D. Campbell, a well-known English angler, who is missing from the Pyes Camp, above the Huka Falls, on the Waikato River. Shortly before 11 o’clock on Monday morning, Mr Campbell and Dr Fenwick, of Auckland, left the camp to fish up the river, but later separated. When Dr Fenwick returned to see how his companion was faring he could find no trace of him beyond tracks where he had waded into the river. Shortly afterwards an angler further down the stream reported that he had seen a man’s hat floating in the water. Mr Campbell was. on his thirty-third su ■'essive visit to the Dominion for trout fishing, and was the best known of the overseas anglers who regularly visited Rotorua. A search is being made, but no trace of the missing man has so far been found.
