EXCELLENT SINGING.
Jan Kiepura Starred in “ Tell Me To-night.”jy To see and hear Jan Kiepura in “ Tell Me To night” at the Civic Theatre is to experience the spell of a delightful personality as well as a glorious voice. He is a great tenor, still so young that he lives in the sunshine of early popularity, yet mature enough to be acclaimed as one of the leading tenors of his time, who. through the medium of the screen, brings delight to millions. Sonuie Hale an inimitable London comedian, makes his first screen appearance and scores a personal triumph, while further comedy is admirably supplied by Edmund Gwenn (the Mayor) and Athene Sevier (the Mayoress), and Magda Schneider, as their charming daughter, provides the romance. “Tell Mo To-night” is a feast of glorious melody and rich comedy deftly woven into a perfect plot for a great singer who is also a finished actor. So powerful is the appeal of this entertainment that many patrons have already witnessed it a second time, intending patrons are advised to make early reservation at the theatre.
