The wool sales reopened with rates upon a higher plane than lor any period since 1925. Prices advanced from 5 to 7$ per cent on the previous auctions on November 6.

The Woolbrokers’ Association figures for the sales last w<.ek show that the 32,819 bales sold realised £603,628, equivalent to £lB 7s 10a a bale, compared with an average price of £9 12s 5d a bale fOr the corresponding sale a year ago.
