Bride Cuts Cake With Her Father’s Sword. SHEPPERD—CRAMPTON, The -wedding was celebrated at Trinity Church. Worcester Street. last evening of Thelma Dorothy, elder daughter of Major and Mrs J. W. Crampton, St Martins Road, and Walter Arthur Nutley, elder son of. Mr and Mrs Arthur Nutley-Rhepperd, of Dunedin. The Rev D. Gardner Miller performed the ceremony and Mr Len Boot was organist. The bride wore a frock of ivory silk crinkle crepe, cut on classic lines, the ground length skirt being slightly flared. The sleeves, closely fitting at the wrist, were cut in deep folds at the shoulder. A circlet of orange blossom held in place her veil of silk embroidered tulle and she carried a bouquet of lilies and carnations. Major Crampton escorted his daughter, who was attended by her sister, Miss Alma Crampton. She wore a frock of ivorv lace organdi mounted over pale pink. The bodice was cut with cowl neckline and the fitting skirt flared fully below the knees to the ground. Bands of pale pink organcU trimmed the skirt and puffed sleeves. Her picture hat of pink straw was trimmed with ribbon to tone. She carried a bouquet of shaded pink carnations. The bridegroom was attended by Mr David Simpson as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at Cassioburv, the home of the bride’s parents. Mrs Crampton received the guests wearing an ankle-length frock of black georgette with the bodice and full sleeves of cerise and fawn embossed georgette and a three-quarter-length swagger coat of black georgette with short cape sleeves. Her hat of black Baku straw was trimmed with cerise and fawn flowers to match and her bouquet was of red roses and carnations. Mrs Nutley-Shepperd wore a frock of black satin beaute in* set with godets of black lace, with a coatee to match, and a fur stole. Her hat was of black straw trimmed with blade and white ribbon, and she carried a bouquet of pink roses and sweet peas. A feature of the evening was the cutting of the cake by the bride with her father’s sword. For travelling the fcride wore a frock of brown marocain, with bodice of striped material to tone, and matching coatee, worn with a brown cloth coat and a brown Baku straw hat. Mr and Mrs Nutley-Shepperd will make their home in Lyttelton. LAWRENCE—CABLE. The wedding took place at St Saviour’s Church, West Lyttelton, on Saturday morning, the Rev C. W. I. Maclaverty officiating, of Muriel, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Cable, Taurima, Port Chalmers, and Eric, youngest son of Mr and Mrs J. Lawrence, of Hove, Sussex, England. The bride, who entered the church with Mr D. S. Iverr, of Lyttelton, wore a charming gown of palest shell pink wool lace over georgette, with coatee to match and hat to tone. Her bouquet was in toning shades of pink roses. The bride was attended by little Jean Kerr, who wore a Victorian frock of forget-me-not blue organdie & with blue Jitliet cap, and carried a aainty posy of pink rosebuds. Mr Ralph Cable was best man. A reception was held at the home of Mr and Mrs D. S. Kerr, where the guests were received by the bride’s parents. When Mr and Mrs Lawrence left by car, the bride was wearing a frock in brown and gold colourings and a smart close-fitting hat.
