AUCKLAND BUSINESS. (Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND, August 29. A feature of the latest trading has been the revival of interest in pastoral shares as the result of the favourable wool market. At this morning’s call Dalgetys had a sale at £9 2s 3d for £5 shares, an advance of 34s 9cl since February. Loan and Mercantile £IOO scrip changed hands at £47 10s, an increase of 50s, while buyers for Goldsbrough Morts bid 28s 6d without attracting holders. The market generally was strong with the exception of banks, which were comparatively neglected. Australian general securities were in keener demand and for Tooth’s Breweries buyers advaned their offers to 375. The mining section was active, with 35s 3d offered for Blackwaters and 25s 3d for Waihis. King Solomons moved up with a sale at 2s 5d and more were wanted at that figure. Further advances in the values of gold shares were recorded at the noon call, when brisk business was again done. Blackwaters made a rise of Is, and. now were wanted at the higher price (35s 9d).
