SOCCER.
Auckland T earn Arrives Here To-night. The Auckland representative Soccer team, which defeated Otago on Saturday for the Football Association trophy, will arrive from the south this evening. The team will stay at the New Railway Hotel and to-night will be the guests of the Athletes’ Dance Assembly at the Frascati, w T here the trophy, one of the most magnificent sports trophies in New Zealand, will be on view. To-morrow morning the team will leave for Greymouth, playing Westland there on Wednesday and returning to Christchurch, en route for Auckland, on Thursday. The Canterbury Football Association has alreadv lodged a provisional challenge for the trophy, and arrangements will be discussed with the Auckland team manager to-night.
