MATCH ABANDONED.

No Hockey Team for Dunedin. A trial match was played at ITagley Park on Saturday for the purpose of selecting a team for a visit to Oamaru and Dunedin. The teams selected turned out short And vacancies were filled with players on the ground, but despite the handicap the game provided good hookey. The first spell was fairly even and at half-time the B team led by two foals tq one. In the second spell the A earn held the upper hand and eventually won by six goals, scored by R. Ruabridge (2). M. Lohrey. B. Dttffleld, E. Prebble and E. Grafton, to two, scored bv R. Moir and W. Hayes. Referees: Messrs A. R. Cordery and H. Teague. After the trial game it was found Impossible to secure a team to travel to Dunedin and the visit has been abandoned. An effort will bo made to secure a team to visit Oamaru on Thursday or Saturday next to play a match against North Otago. Ellesmere Games.
