Gatherings Held on Saturday. The popularity of the members of the Canterbury Officers’ Club as hosts contributed largely to the success of their dance held at the club-rooms, Worcester Street, on Saturday evening. The dance, which was one of a series held during the winter months, was well attended and proved thoroughly enjoyable. Fritz Seymour’s orchestra supplied the music. Decorations appropriate to the occasion included regimental flags and colours, while the lights were shaded with long streamers in many different hues. _ Among those present were: Colonel and Mrs S. The fourth annual dance of the South Brighton Tennis Club was held in the Masonic Hall, New Brighton, on Saturday evening. The committee responsible for the arrangements comprised Misses E. For the work and object of assisting the funds of the Canterbury Yachting Association, the Social Committee of the . Christchurch Sailing and Power Boat Club organised a successful dance which was held in the Sumner. Town Hall on Saturday evening. The hall was prettily decorated with multi-coloured festoons and the lights were shaded with red and white streamers. Prominent at the back of the stage were the club pennants. The 9th, 10th and 16th Batteries, New Zealand Field Artillery, held a successful dance in the new social hall on Saturday night.
