WOMAN’S DEATH.

No Blame Attached to Van Driver. A verdict that death was due to injuries received as the result of a collision with a motor-van at the intersection of Fitzgerald Street and Ferry Road on August 7, was returned by the Coroner, Mr H. A. Young, at the inquest into the death of Beatrice Louisa Neave, a single woman, 29 years of age, of Leith Street, Sydenham. The Coroner added that the evidence showed that no blame attached to the driver of the van. Miss Neave died in the Christchurch Hospital on the morning of August 8. She had been admitted the previous evening with serious injuries sustained when she collided with a motor-van driven by Mr Wilfred A. Weakley, a storeman, of 127, Mackenzie Avenue, Woolston.
