WOMEN’S HOCKEY.
Grounds Heavy for Matches at Tournament. Per Press Association. DANNEVIRKE, August 28. The weather was overcast but fine after ram during the night. The grounds promise to be heavy to-dav for the conclusion of sectional play in the New Zealand women’s hockey tournament. Canterbury and Southland are level with S points each in Section A. Otago must beat or draw with Wellington today to win Section B, while Eastern has to win to-day’s game against Wairarapa to lead in Section C. This morning’s game Ashburton v.
