CHALLENGE ISSUED.
, The following challenge has been issued by the Canterbury Workers’' District Council to Mr S. G. Holland:— That in view of the fact that Mr Holland has made a definite statement the effect that not a single case of exploitation has come under his notice and that this statement was immediately contradicted by various ompals of the unions in this district and that Mr Holland has not seen fit to take advantage of the offer made to meet them to place before him the lacts which will disprove his statement, this council now challenges him directly to meet its charges that exploitation is rampant in the city and particularly since the Arbitration Act was amended and awards have expired.”
