SCHOOL TEACHER KILLED.
Car Went Over Bank While Backing. Per Press Association. \\ ELLINGTON, August 7. While backing a motor-car out of a garage on Konini Road, Hataitai, last evening, Miss Eileen Ailsa M’Dcinald, a school teacher, about twenty-four years of age. went over a bank and was killed. Miss M’Donald is stationed at Martinborough, and was on a week-end visit to her home. Konini Road is fairly’ steep, and it appears that when backing out of the garage the car gained momentum and ran down the hill. Before Miss M’Do-nald could regain control, the car went over a bank eight feet deep, pinning deceased beneath it.
