BALL AT LADBROOKS.
Benedicts Entertain Many Guests. The benedicts of the Ladbrooks district entertained the spinsters and bachelors and friends at their annual ball, which was held on Tuesday night in the Ladbrooks Hall. In spite of the exceptionally rough weather, there was a large attendance, including many visitors from Christchurch and the surrounding districts. An energetic committee, with Mr Jack Meyer as chairman and Mr J. T. Partridge as secretary, had made excellent arrangements for the entertainment of their guests. The hall was decorated with varicoloured streamers and Mr Les Kinsman’s Orchestra played the dance music. The supper extra was supplied by Mr Lester, of Christchurch. Messrs F.
