Savage Boar.
CEVERE INJURIES were received by Mrs OwerP le Gallais, wife of a wTellknown farmer at Tatuanui, near Morrinsville, who was attacked and gored by a boar on the farm. Mrs le Gallais was assisting her husband to separate some pigs when she -was attacked by the boar. Owing to the noise made by the pigs Mr le Gallais did not notice her plight for some time. Then 'he saw' her clinging to the fence, over which she had apparently tried to climb, and the boar was still attacking her. He beat off the boar and rescued her. Her clothing was torn to ribbons and her legs ; and thighs were severely lacerated.
