Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 7. An accident to one of the girls engaged in the chorus marred the opening performance of the Auckland Amateiir Operatic Society’s comic opera. ' Les Cloches de Comeville,” at Ilis
Majesty’s Theatre. Miss July Aickin, daughter of Dr Casement Aickin, fell on the stage during the opening chorus and broke an arm. The accident was observed by only a few members of the audience. With other girls of the chorus she was going through a few steps of a dance when she slipped and fell. Although the incident was disconcerting to the company the chorus coni tinued without interruption.
