MUSIC LOVERS’ CONTEST.
Seven thousand entries were received for the Radio Broadcasting Board's music-lovers’ competition. Eighty tunes were played and the competitors were required to name the tunes. Lambert, 9, Rarawa Street’ Mount Eden, Auckland, 10s. 2YA—Mrs Howard Mills, John Street Blenheim, £5; Mr Len W. Coker, Parker Street, Blenheim, £2; Mrs Dora A, Lambert, 9, Rarawa Street, Mount Eden, Auckland, 10s. 3YA—Mr B. Lawrence, 7, Ferguson Avenue, Mairehau, Christchurch; Mr Alf Lawrence, 39, Cornwall Street, St Albans, Christchurch, Miss Norma Middleton, 236 a, Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, all equal. The total prizemoney for this station, £7 10s, will be divided equally among these three competitors. 4YA—Mr Alf Lawrence, 39, Cornwall Street, St Albans, Christchurch, £5; Mr B.
