Only two persons responded to an invitation by the Welfare Committee of the Boys’ Efnplo yment Committee to attend a meeting in the M’Donald Memorial Hall. Aldwins Road. last *1 evening for the purpose of organising a welfare ct mm ttee for the district Three mem! er* of the Welfare Committee. Messrs Irving Sladen (chairman), A J M Eldowney and V. French attended to address the meeting, but owing to the lack of interest shown by the residents of the district it was abandoned.
