On Saturday evening an enjoyable social was held in the Trinity Congregation Hall. The evening was spent in games and competitions, the winners being Miss Adeline Bent, Messrs L. Pratley, V. The Wanderers’ Hiking Club held its second dance this season at the Cafe Cecil on Saturday evening. Mrs E. Robinson was the matron-of-honour. As on the previous occasion the dance proved a great success, owing mainly to the efforts of the following committee:—Misses Esma Jones, Josephine Ramsay and Kathleen Rogers, Messrs E. Robinson, N. Winter, O. Sprosen, L. Jacobson, H. Nely and L. Stephenson. Aero Club’s Dance. Mr and Mrs J. C. Mercer acted as host and hostess at an enjoyable dance held in the Aero Club rooms, Sockburn, on Saturday evening. Amongst those present were: Alesdames L. An enjoyable evening was spent at the home of Mr and Mrs Caldwell, Shirley Road, St Albans, in honour of Miss L. Preston, whose marriage will take place this week.
