TWO GOOD TALKIES.
Liberty Shows Western and Comedy. Two good talkies—“ Wild Horse Mesa.” a dashing Western drama, and “He Learned About Women," an uproarious comedy—are showing at the Liberty Theatre this week. Based on Zane Greys popular novel, “ Wild Horse Mesa ” is a thrilling drama of the American West, in which a gang of desperadoes inveigle an astute business woman into a venture in which wild horses are to be trap'ped in the Indian reservation. It has an excellent plot, in which a pretty girl and a reckless horseman, portrayed by Sally Blane and Randolph Scott respectively, play a prominent part in upsetting the schemes of the gang anrl bringing them to justice for other crimes. Alison Skipworth. Stuart Erwin and Susan Fleming share the acting honours in “He Learned About Women,” which deals with the extraordinary experiences of a young book-worm who suddenly inherits a vast fortune. Stuart Erwin, as the exceedingly bashful and innocent young man. is a positive scream, and Alison Skipworth, who will he remembered for her work in “ The Sporting Widow ” and other comedy roles, adds to the gaiety of the play.
