Loss of Commander of Discovery 11. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received May 4, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON. May 3. In accordance with instructions the crew of Discovery II on their arrival at Falmouth were silent concerning the death of Commander W. M. Carey, who was lost overboard in calm water. It is understood that nobody witnessed the tragedy. Directly Commander Carey was missed from the bridge an immediate but fruitless search was made for him. Sir Hubert Wilkins has returned from Oslo. He will join the expedition ship in July and transfer to a liner at an intermediate port in order to visit Australia and New Zealand. He will rejoin the expedition at Dunedin.
