Meeting of Management Committee. SELECTORS APPOINTED. The Management Committee of the Canterbury Hockey Association met last evening, Mr H. W. Rogers presidThe Mid-Canterbury Association wrote asking that an application be made to the New Zealand Association for permission to hold a South Island five-a-side tourney on June 3. It was decided to forward the application. The Referees’ Association wrote stating that the rule referring to the type of ball to be used in all matches should be altered. It was decided not to depart from the present rules. The Grounds Committee reported that damage had been done to the nets at Hagley Park. It was decided to write to the head master at the West Christchurch School. The Permits Committee reported that the following application for reinstatements had been received: — Varsity, A. Pullan, R. Shill itto, W. Woodward. C. Atkinson, granted, R. Thomson, not granted; Redeliffs, A. Pragnell, granted; New Brighton, G. Ragg - , granted; Selwyn. G. Eathorne, granted; Sydenham, A.
