Certain Decreases in New Rates. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 3. NOTIFICATION of the premiums payable under third-party insurance for 1933-34 will be gazetted this week, said the Minister of Transport in an interview. Mr Coates explained that existing premium rates were not subject to any increase, but that, on the other hand, there were a number of substantial decreases in respect of certain vehicles of the public passengercarrying type. The Minister added that the operating figures of insurance companies undertaking third-party business had been closely examined. The new rates were, of course, directly based on the results experience had shown in respect of the classes of vehicles to which they had referred.
