Wilson was re-elected unopposed as Mayor, and also as the borough representative on the Tararua Power Board. There will be no contests for the council or the Hospital Board seats. LITTLE INTEREST. Nominations for Rangiora Municipality. Singular apathy is being shown in the Rangiora municipal elections this year. Nominations close at noon tomorrow and so far four or five of the present councillors have signified their intention not to seek re-election. Only three nominations have so far come in. No nomination has yet been received for the Mayoralty, though that of the present Mayor (Mr W. A. Rowse) is fairly certain. At noon to-day the only nominations for positions on the council were those of three of the present councillors: Messrs F. E. Martyn, R. R. Gillanders and J. A. Ivory. Mr T. J. Stokes has been nominated for the Riccarton Borough Council.
