AUCKLAND, April IS. i Concussion and severe head injuries ! were suffered by a visitor from Wel- ' lington, Mr Edward Kennedy, wlfbn he j slipped and fell down a flight of stairs i this afternoon. Mr Kennedy, who is | secretary to the Cooks and Stewards’ Union of New Zealand, was unconscious ! when he was taken to the hospital, j His condition was described as fairly : serious to-night. Mr Kennedy is married and lives at ; Island Bay. He came to Auckland to j attend the annual conference of the j Xew Zealand Labour Party, and he was present at the discussions to-day.
