NEW BRIGHTON WINS.
Inter-borough Shield for Athletics. The annual inter-borough athletic tournament between Sumner and New Brighton was held at New Brighton to-day, and resulted in a win for Sumner by 53 points to 4<. New Brighton thereby wins the interborougli shield for 1932 by seven contests to five. The shield competition covers many avenues of sport. At the conclusion of the tournament Mr G. F. Allen, of Sumner presented the shield to the Mayor of New i.rignton (Mr E. A. M. Leaver).
