An amusing and somewhat disconcerting episode occurred during the sheep-dog trials at St Andrew's fete this afternoon. Several nondescript dogs, with the best intentions, no doubt, came out from amidst the crowd and unhesitatingly offered their assistance in the trials. Only for a moment were Mr Roberts’s working dogs disorganised and after the announcer had appealed to the dogs’ owners to take them in charge the trials proceeded successfully.
