The discovery of a pest resiyibling the white pine borer was made in a thirty-year-old Pinus insignis tree in a private plantation at Dorie last week, and was handed to the Ashburton County inspector (Mr E. N. Johnson), who proi poses to send it to the Cawthorn Insti- | tute for identification.
