MODEL YACHTING.
The Christchurch Model Yacht Club sailed the first two heats of the race for the president’* prise at V ictoria Lake on Saturday. The wind was a light north-seater. Ten boats competed under the supervision of Mr J. L. Ruxton. Following were the results:— First heat—R. Munro’s Dolphin (scr) 1; E. Hodge's Linnet (4irain) 2: B. George’s Irene 11. (3min 40sec) 3*; F. Semmen’s Tut (4|min) 4; D. M. Hall s Avalon (7min) 6. Time—2Bmin. Second heat—E. White’s Charlie (4min) 1; Dolphin 2, Tui 3, H. J. Bcwlker’s Pukaki (4mln lOsec) 4, Irene 11. 5. Time—33min. A further two heats will be sailed next Saturday.
