GODLEY RESERVE.
Provision of Stone Kerbing Decided Upon. One of the improvements that is to be made to the Godley statue reserve in Cathedral Square will be the provision of a stone kerbing similar to the one around the Cathedral grounds. It was originally proposed that a concrete kerbing should be constructed, but the special committee that is dealing with the matter insisted that stone should be used, and it is obtaining samples of Halswell stone and of the stone in the kerbing around the Cathedral with a view to determining which one should be used.
