ELECTRIFYING BRITAIN.
British Official Wireless. RUGBY, January 12. An order has been placed for a turbogenerating unit of 140,000 horse-power for the new super-power station at Battersea, which will be opened next summer. This unit is the largest ordered in Great Britain and will be one of the largest in the world. Extensions to the 200,000 horse-power Barking super-power station have been completed, rendering it the greatest power station in the British Empire with a total capacity of 530,000 horsepower.
